Phase 02 · Structure
Custom shop construction built around the way you work
Fisher Construction designs and builds shops for homeowners, businesses and farms across the Yakima Valley, from small residential workshops to large commercial or agricultural shops.
Chapter 01
Start with how you will use the shop, and what the lot will allow
A shop that works starts with two questions: how do you want to use it, and what are the site conditions on your property? We begin there. Then we design a personalized layout for ease of use and navigation, with room for your storage and for future expansion, so the shop still fits when you add a machine, a vehicle or a second bay.
After you approve the design, our in-house construction team handles it all. That includes obtaining permits, site prep, and building a strong foundation, then framing, installing wiring, plumbing, utilities and insulation, and finishing. One crew means no handoffs, and structurally sound, code-compliant work built to stand up to the demanding Yakima Valley environment.

Wood, metal, mechanic and farm shops each ask for different things
Wood shops get enhanced ventilation and dust collection for cutting and sanding, dedicated tool zones, specialty outlets, reinforced flooring and custom lighting. Metal shops can include oversized roll-up or hydraulic doors, mezzanine storage, dedicated tool rooms, industrial ventilation and exhaust, upgraded electrical service for heavy machinery, high-visibility task lighting and noise reduction.
Mechanic shops add a raised ceiling, a lift, a compressed air system, easy-clean floors, workbenches and storage walls for auto repair or restoration work. Farm shops handle equipment, supplies and livestock, with specialized housing, parking and wash bays, floor drainage, storage, ventilation and climate control, all custom-designed to the operation.
Not every shop is for work. A man cave or she shed is a custom workshop retreat to escape, relax or entertain, and a multi-use shop covers whatever mix of jobs you need to manage.
Chapter 03
Build it once, with the details that make it last
Add-ons are where a shop earns its keep: specialty lighting, doors and ramps, floor drainage, reinforced floors, storage, filtration, ventilation and climate control. We plan them into the build from the start rather than bolting them on later, using premium materials and careful workmanship.
