Phase 02 · Structure
Commercial general contracting, from planning to the final walk-through
New construction including concrete tilt-up panel construction, steel building erection, and commercial remodeling and additions, built by one family-owned crew out of Selah.
Chapter 01
Where a commercial job is won or lost: pre-construction
Most commercial projects that go sideways were off track before anyone broke ground. The scope was fuzzy, the budget was a guess, or the design left questions for the field to answer. Fisher Construction puts the work up front. Every job starts with a consultation about the scope of your project, your timeline and your budget, so the plan is something you can read and check, not a handshake and a hope.
Budgeting is part of that conversation. We give you cost estimates you can plan around, so you can set aside resources with eyes open and avoid surprises once the crew is on site. Estimates are free, and we are happy to walk a site or a set of plans with you before you commit to anything.

What we build: new construction, steel and tilt-up, remodels and additions
Our commercial work covers new construction, including concrete tilt-up panel construction and steel building erection, plus commercial remodeling and additions. Whether you are putting up a new retail space, updating an office, or developing a multi-use facility, the same crew carries the job from design development through framing and finishes, so nothing gets lost in a handoff between trades.
Design development is where we refine the details with you: selecting materials, working through detailed plans, and balancing how the space has to function with how it should look. When it helps the building, we recommend materials that improve energy performance, such as insulated panels, low-emissivity glass and reflective roofing, and practical choices like water-efficient fixtures that keep operating costs down over the long run.
Because we also handle excavation and site preparation, roofing and commercial painting, a large share of a typical project can stay under one roof. That means one point of contact for the owner and fewer gaps between the people doing the work.
Chapter 03
Why owners in the Yakima Valley hand us the whole job
Fisher Construction is a family-owned business led by Derek Fisher, established in 2017, with more than 35 years of personal industry experience and over 100 years of combined team expertise behind every project. We are a Central Washington Home Builders Association member, BBB Accredited since 2018, and our own site notes an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. We are licensed and insured in Washington under L&I license FISHECL810OP.
What that experience buys you is knowledge of local building codes, the climate, and construction best practice, so the building comes out compliant and ready for Central Washington weather. It also buys clear communication: you will know who is on your site and what comes next. If you have a commercial project in Selah, Yakima or anywhere across the valley, call (509) 424-6072 and tell us what you are planning.
