Backyard work starts with the ground, not the pergola
An outdoor room is only as good as what sits under it. A patio cover over a yard that sheds water toward the footings, or an outdoor kitchen set on ground nobody graded, turns into a repair job within a few seasons. That is why Fisher Construction starts every backyard project with an on-site consultation, not a catalog.
We walk the yard with you and look at the existing patio and decking, the topography and the drainage. Then we talk through your goals and budget, your style and material preferences, and how you want to use the space. Our site prep crew begins with groundwork and drainage, the same excavation and grading we do on much larger jobs around Selah.

Custom pergolas for shade, sun or rain on demand
Shade structures matter in Central Washington, where the summers are bright and the weather turns. We build custom-designed traditional wood pergolas, and we also work with modern adjustable pergolas in aluminum, steel and fiberglass. Today's motorized pergolas give you sun, shade or rain protection on demand, with smart operation and built-in amenities like lighting, fans and infrared patio heaters.
Wood and cedar suit the look of a classic covered patio. Adjustable and motorized systems suit a yard where the light changes through the day and you want control over it. We help you choose between them based on how the space will be used, not on what is easiest for us to build.
Chapter 03
Outdoor kitchens and dining spaces
An outdoor kitchen pavilion can carry your family's favorite cooking features: a built-in grill with side burners, a griddle, a rotisserie, a smoker or a pizza oven. Around the cooking line you can add weatherproof countertops and storage, a refrigerator, an ice maker, a sink, pest-proof trash and an outdoor entertainment system. The goal is the convenience of an indoor kitchen, outdoors.
We lay the space out so cooking, dining and relaxation flow into each other, and so the move between indoors and outdoors feels natural. Patios and decking are part of that plan too, whether you are adding new space or upgrading what you have.
One team from design to final inspection
